Page 1 Top Story: Our Survey on Domestic Trends in Environmentally Friendly Pressure-Sensitive Labels

According to our survey, environmentally friendly pressure-sensitive labels accounted for 37% of total shipments in 2024, an increase from the previous year, but still falling short of the 45% seen in overseas markets. Breaking it down, labels using "forest certified paper" were 4 percentage points lower compared to overseas, and "other environmentally friendly products" using recycled or biomass resin were also 3 percentage points lower. As global efforts to reduce environmental impact progress, there is a need to strengthen the appeal of environmentally friendly products in the Japanese market as well.
